BBQ CHEESEBURGER PASTA SKILLET


A family-friendly pasta skillet recipe with ground beef, seasoned tomato sauce, bbq sauce and cheese for the bbq cheeseburger flavor profile

INGREDIENTS

1 pound ground round beef

1 bell pepper

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon pork barrel seasoning or garlic powder or seasoning of choice

1 can (15 oz each) Tomato Sauce

3 cups dry medium pasta shells, uncooked

1/4 cup barbeque sauce

1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend

DIRECTIONS

STEP ONE

Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add beef, onion, peppers, and seasoning ; cook 7 minutes or until beef is crumbled and no longer pink, stirring occasionally.

Boil pasta while cooking the meat.

STEP TWO

Add tomato sauce; stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Cover; reduce heat and cook 12 minutes.

STEP THREE

Stir in pasta,  bbq sauce and 3/4 cup of cheese.  Top with remainder of cheese and let stand until cheese melts.
