PIZZERIA DOUGH RECIPE
PIZZA DOUGH RECIPE
This recipe came from a friend's parents who owned a pizzeria in the Bronx.
CRUST:
(best to make the day before)
4lbs(64oz) of flour
2-3 tsps of salt
4pk of powdered yeasts
Molasses (dark) 2 ½ tsps.( Don’t worry if you go over.)
Vegetable oil ½ cup
Mix yeast with 2 2/3 cups of warm water (about 105 degrees). Add the molasses. Let stand 10 minutes. Add yeast to flour. Mix until completely incorporated. Add oil. Measure out 1 ½ lbs of dough. I was able to get about two balls of dough. The second was just shy of a pound and a half. Place in individual bowls. Let stand covered for 1 hour in warm area. When done punch down and form a ball. I place them in the refrigerator overnight then punch them down the next day when I’m ready to use it. I was able to get 2 nice sized pizzas from this recipe. 4 adults and we had 2 slices leftover. Buon Appetito!
